How to access training and placement opportunities

Contact main OWL office on
(Tel: 01223 835329) to:

• Ask for an information pack
• Arrange a visit
• Discuss availability of courses/days
• Complete a short application form
• Arrange a taster day
• Discuss funding and transport
• Confirm interest and complete an agreement form with start date.

Typically a further education full time student placement is 2 days per week. It is possible to buy extra placement days at OWL, depending on space. OWL’s daily fee is £35
Cambridgeshire Disability Service (LDP) are introducing ‘In Control’ whereby individuals will have their own ‘Individual Budget’ (subject to
eligibility criteria) which should enable people to choose and pay for their own care and day services packages.
NB The Further Education Colleges are now required to charge for courses and registration.  Eligibility for waiver of these fees is subject to sight of evidence of type of benefits received. OWL will assist with this process and help students access the Learning Support Funds if required.
